Stafa unveils new LogiBin Kanban service

Netherlands-headquartered Stafa has officially launched LogiBin, its new and innovative logistic bin service designed to help optimise supply chains.

Stafa has detailed the service in the run up to the launch in Torque Magazine and here on www.torque-expo.com.

LogiBin is a smart method to ensure that there are always enough fasteners in stock, without requiring a lot of space. It is based on Kanban, a proven method for organising processes efficiently. Pitched at manufacturing companies in particular, Stafa’s LogiBin is advantageous as it allows employees on the floor have direct insight into the status of an item via the RFID scan panel.

Stafa said: “During development, we listened carefully to improvement suggestions from users of similar systems. We have incorporated these in LogiBin, with which we have made a great leap forward in the provision of information for our customers.

“Through the use of RFID technology, keeping track of the stock on location is managed efficiently. Both the people on the work floor and those in the purchasing department have direct insight into the products ordered and their status. This provides clear insights and less unnecessary communication internally. Besides the clear insight, it is of course very important that your production process can run continuously. LogiBin is based on the well-known Kanban principle and ensures that you have sufficient stock at all times to guarantee the production process.”
