Wickes has opened a new store in Northampton Riverside, marking the fourth and final former Homebase location to be converted into a Wickes store.
Located at Riverside Retail Park, 1–5 Fairground Way, Northampton, NN3 9HU, the new branch is the retailer’s second store in the area and has created 16 local jobs. Spanning 20,005 square feet, the store features a 5,615 sq ft Outdoor Project Centre and a 4,245 sq ft showroom, showcasing a new kitchen and bathroom display designed to inspire home improvement projects.
Customers can browse a wide range of products, use the Dulux paint mixing service and receive expert guidance in the in-store Project Centre. The store also offers solar solutions to help customers improve energy efficiency, alongside disabled parking and electric vehicle charging points within the retail park.
In-store Design Consultants are available to provide Wickes’ free kitchen and bathroom design service. Customers can also take advantage of 15-minute Click & Collect or the new Rapid Delivery service, which delivers eligible local orders to customers’ doors within three hours.

The new Northampton Riverside store was officially opened today by Northampton Mayor, Cllr Jane Birch, as part of Wickes’ ongoing investment in its store network.
