Wickes H2 2025 trading update

Wickes Group has announced its financial results for the six-month period ending 27 December 2025, with group revenue reaching £788 million, representing a like-for-like (LFL) revenue growth rate of 5.3%.

In the second half of 2025, the company’s retail segment revenue was £574 million, reflecting revenue growth of 6.2% and LFL growth of 5.1%. This was driven by continued volume increases in a mildly deflationary pricing environment.

The company added that it had grown market share to a new record level as customers continued to choose Wickes for certainty of value, convenience and speed. Within Retail, TradePro continued to outperform, with sales up 8% year-on-year, as local trade professionals increasingly chose Wickes to save time and money. Active TradePro members rose 11% year-on-year to 643,000. DIY sales achieved mid-single-digit growth, with volumes supported by increasing customer transactions.

The Design & Installation Ranges segment’s revenue reached £214 million, up 6.9%, as customers responded positively to enhancements in its kitchen and bathroom offerings. Ordered sales grew for five consecutive quarters, demonstrating continued momentum following the return to ordered sales growth in Q4 2024. Delivered sales were in positive growth for three consecutive quarters, with LFL growth of 6.1% in the second half.

The company opened new stores in Southport and Northampton Riverside during Q4, bringing the total number of new stores for the year to five. One full store refit was completed, and a further five stores were refreshed in H2, with approximately 83% of the store estate now in the new format.

“This has been another period of good sales growth for Wickes, underlining a year of strong progress against our strategy,” said David Wood, Chief Executive of Wickes. “As we continue to invest in our growth levers, we remain on track to meet market expectations for the full year and look forward to supporting even more customers with their home improvement projects in the year ahead.”

The company is set to report full-year results for the period ending 27 December in mid-March 2026, with adjusted PBT for FY25 expected to be within the consensus forecast range of £46.8 million to £50.7 million.
