Okuma Europe GmbH is set to open a new solution centre in Krefeld, Germany, offering visitors a comprehensive look at modern manufacturing technology.
The centre will feature a curated selection of Okuma machines alongside a broad array of advanced automation and NC machining solutions. On display will be standardised in-house systems such as the Okuma ARMROID, as well as automation technologies from leading partners including Promro, RoboJob, Cellro and Indunorm. Highlights include the 5-axis GENOS M460V-5AX Machining Centre with external automation and the LT2000 EX equipped with Okuma’s Gantry Loader system. This extensive portfolio allows demonstrations to be tailored to individual requirements, enabling visitors to explore solutions in a fully customised, hands-on environment.
Beyond machine showcases, the solution centre will serve as a hub for consultation, knowledge exchange and the development of new manufacturing solutions. Visitors can experience everything from interactive demonstrations and practical courses to hands-on training with Okuma’s intuitive OSP control, providing insight into the latest smart factory technologies.
To further enhance the full-service offering, Okuma Deutschland GmbH will relocate its application engineering team and training centre to the new Krefeld facility, creating a single location for expertise, support and learning.
“Just three years after deciding to expand our site in Krefeld, we are thrilled to open the solution centre, where all our expertise comes together,” said Norbert Teeuwen, Managing Director of Okuma Europe GmbH. “Our customers will benefit from the synergies created here for many years to come.”
The official opening will take place on 4 and 5 March 2026 as part of Okuma’s annual “Open House” event. The programme includes live machining demonstrations, machine showcases and guided tours of the European headquarters, offering visitors unique insights into the new building. The centre’s design is forward-looking and energy-efficient, featuring photovoltaic systems and a heat pump in line with Okuma’s sustainability principles.
