Fastener Training Institute (FTI) will host its flagship training programme at Fastener Fair USA at the Charlotte Convention Center from 4 to 8 May.
Sponsored by Birmingham Fastener, Fastener Training Week offers fastener professionals the opportunity to learn through case studies, hands-on demonstrations, learning labs, classroom instruction and behind-the-scenes exposure to manufacturing and quality lab processes. The extensive curriculum is facilitated by industry experts and leads to the Certified Fastener Specialist™ designation upon completion of the course and passing the final exam.
Jo Morris, Managing Director of FTI, said the institute will be bringing the entire advanced training week to the show rather than hosting a one-day session.
The curriculum includes hands-on demonstrations with gauges and callipers, as well as lessons on quality assurance systems, sampling plans, fastener failures, print reading, thread technology and standards.
Virtual tours and in-depth presentations from FTI suppliers, including a quality lab, cold header and secondary processor, will also be available.
Registration for Fastener Training Week is now open and includes entry to the Fastener Fair USA exhibition hall. Students will also have dedicated time to explore the show. The optional opening night networking party at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on 5 May provides an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals.
