The fischer Group of Companies has received the GREEN BRANDS award for the second time in a row.
The company said it achieved full marks for its environmental management systems and its commitment to corporate social responsibility, alongside strong results in resource consumption, emissions and both internal and external awareness-building.
To earn the recognition, companies must pass a three-stage assessment. First, only organisations nominated by NGOs, market research firms, media partners, jury members, industry associations or previously awarded companies can enter the evaluation process.
Second, independent experts determine each nominee’s position on the GREEN BRANDS Index, using criteria developed with a scientific sustainability institute. Finally, if the validation is positive, national jury members make the final decision. Only companies that demonstrate proven ecological sustainability receive the seal for a two-year period.
“We are proud of this award because it critically examines our sustainability activities. This enables us to identify suitable measures and continuously improve. What sets the GREEN BRANDS seal apart is that it is a registered EU warranty mark for ecological sustainability with an independent, transparent and neutral verification process,” said Christian Ziegler, Head of Sustainability, Environment and Energy at the fischer Group.
