TR Fastenings to host Fastener Surgery at Automechanika Birmingham

TR Fastenings (TR) is returning to Automechanika Birmingham next month, with a 'Fastener Surgery' where visitors can bring design or application issues to the firm's team of engineers.

TR, part of Trifast plc, is a full service provider to the automotive industry specialising in supply to the Tier 1 market. TR’s global reach extends to 27 sites, with manufacturing facilities accredited to TS 16949. Globally, it produces more than 50 billion components annually to over 5,000 customers.

Glenda Roberts, Group Sales and Marketing Director at TR, said: “We were very impressed with the organisation of the exhibition, and the footfall which generated business opportunities. The showcase gave us a great platform to demonstrate the range of our products and our capabilities to a wide and discerning audience, and we had no hesitation in booking a stand for 2017.”

Following feedback from the 2016 show, Automechanika organisers have introduced a dedicated supplier zone, increasing opportunities for suppliers dealing with Tier 1 firms rather than purely the aftermarket audience. This show will be an ideal chance for UK customers to meet the TR team and find out more about its Automotive fastening solutions. TR is encouraging companies to bring their design or application issues to the show where they can be discussed with the team of fastener engineers, who will be hosting a “Fastener Surgery” at the stand.

As well as showcasing its products, TR will also be giving visitors the chance to view the Honda RC-51 SP2 motorbike, ridden by Superbike racer Ryan Strafford, who is sponsored by TR. He competes in the prestigious Golden Era Superbikes series run by Thundersport GB, will be present at the TR stand alongside his motorbike to sign merchandise and answer questions about the machine and his successful racing career. TR is a key supplier to Boon Siew Honda, manufacturer of the Honda Motorcycle 2-wheelers, and has just been awarded their Best Quality Supplier Award.

TR is a member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), and said it had benefited greatly from its association with the organisation. "Automechanika has added another dimension to TR’s position within the automotive industry, giving it greater exposure to an even wider audience," TR said.

Glenda Roberts added: “One of the appeals of the exhibition to TR was its worldwide reach and popularity. With 27 sites across the world, TR is a truly global business and what appeals to our customers is that we can support them in multiple sites to ensure a consistent and efficient service. Automechanika was a hugely successful event for us last year, providing us with valuable opportunities to make new connections with major decision makers from global powerhouse firms. The addition of the supplier zone this year also ensures we can attract and engage with the right audiences for our business, allowing us to showcase our knowledge and expertise. We are thrilled to have Ryan and his bike with us on the stand this year as an example of our close connections with the automotive industry.”

Automechanika Birmingham is back at the NEC, Birmingham from 6-8 June 2017. International exhibitor numbers are on the up for this year's show.
