The Stuttgart-based 2017 Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo (GACS) is underway this week, closing on Thursday (22 June) and TR Fastenings (TR) is exhibiting for the second year.
Pitched as the only exhibition in Europe dedicated to showcasing automotive components and component suppliers, GACS is hosted alongside Engine Expo, Automotive Interiors Expo, and Automotive Testing Expo. In total, the four events are expected to attract more than 11,000 visitors, including engineers and purchasing decision-makers from more than 50 countries.
Billed as “a global supplier-sourcing opportunity in one compact location,” GACS is marketed primarily at automotive OEM and Tier 1 procurement managers, component specifiers, and engineers. Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers will also be at the event, showcasing their latest products and technologies, as well as component manufacturers from as far afield as China, Greece, Korea, Morocco, India, Turkey, and the USA.
TR, part of Trifast plc, is a full service provider to the automotive industry specialising in supply to the Tier 1 market. TR’s global reach extends to 27 sites, with manufacturing facilities accredited to TS 16949. Globally, it produces more than 50 billion components annually to over 5,000 customers.

TR’s fasteners are used widely in interior and exterior vehicle assemblies, including seating components, IP consoles, trim, braking systems, airbag assemblies, and highly engineered complex parts for engine and powertrain fastenings. In Europe, TR has automotive sites in Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, and Sweden.
