Kyocera Senco to acquire tool & fastener firm Van Aerden Group

Kyocera SENCO Industrial Tools is to acquire 100% of Van Aerden Group BV, a European distributor and manufacturer of pneumatic tools and fasteners.

The move will see Van Aerden renamed Kyocera AERFAST Europe BV when the buy out goes through on 1 March 2019.

Kyocera has been active on the acquisition trail in the last 18 months, having acquired SENCO in August 2017, then in October of that year the firm bought Ryobi. This latest move will see Kyocera Senco bolster its business in Europe with manufacturing and sales assets of pneumatic tools and fasteners.

Van Aerden Group has been a key European distributor partner of Senco branded products for over 50 years. They sell to more than 10 countries and the acquisition will further the expansion of KSIT’s presence in Belgium, France, Sweden, Finland and several other countries in Europe.

Van Aerden Group’s manufacturing facility in France produces a variety of fasteners including nails, staples and hog rings that complement Kyocera Senco's current product offering. The firm has 214 employees and is HQ'd in Antwerp, Belgium.

Kyocera Senco, headquartered in the US, is a subsidiary of Kyocera Corp and is a pneumatic, cordless tool and collated fastener manufacturing and sales company.
