HiKOKI Powertools bestsellers: The powertools that have been driving sales for merchants

Which powertools have been strong performers packing a punch for merchants, retailers and distributors? Torque quizzes HiKOKI Power Tools UK - the power tool brand formerly known as Hitachi - for the top three HiKOKI bestsellers of recent months...

Unlike traditional framing nailers that use gas fuel cells, the HiKOKI NR1890DBCLJPZ is powered by a lightweight, rechargeable 5.0 Ah Li-Ion battery, banishing the costly replacement of fuel cells. The use of batteries also means the days of keeping gas fuel cells warm in a pocket – or dragging a compressor and hose out for every job – are over. This quiet, powerful and efficient nailer matches the performance of a gas nailer without the fuss, says HiKOKI.

The NR1890DBCLJPZ features an efficient brushless motor, driving upto two nails per second with the capacity to carry 47 nails at a time. The NR1890DBCLJPZ comes with two 5.0Ah Li-Ion batteries and fires up to 700 nails per charge. The highly stable driving power allows the nailer to drive nails up to 90mm into lumber with ease.

With 36 Volts, the BSL36A18 Multi Volt battery packs have a capacity of 2.5 Ah, and 5.0Ah with 18V. HiKOKI also offers a model with a capacity of 4.0Ah and 8.0Ah with 18V. That means that the 36V packs have a capacity of more than 1,000 Watts.

The 36V battery packs have more power than the similar sized 18V battery packs but as the battery packs’ dimensions and weight remain almost the same, the Multi Volt battery packs can be used with a wide range of 18V class devices.

Intelligent connecting tech makes it possible for the battery to detect if it is being used on an 18V or a 36V device and automatically adjust the voltage. Using the analogy of cars, both a 1L and 2L engine can do 70mph, but the 2L engine is using less of its capacity to get there, increasing fuel efficiency and engine life.

The high performance WR36DA36V Brushless 19mm Impact Wrench uses 36V Multi Volt batteries for a high power output similar to mains powered tools. It has a high overload capacity, four power mode selections and a huge tightening torque of 1100Nm (hard).

Its IP56 rating means it has excellent dust resistance and waterproofing, and its compact design helps it to perform in the toughest, tightest environments. User friendliness is assured with a three mode LED worklight and soft grip handle.
