Heller Tools confirms new Board of Directors following Dr Frank Schubert's retirement

Former Director Dr Frank Schubert is retiring from the company at the end of the year, after almost 20 years with Heller Tools GmbH.

On 1 October 2017, Dr Robert Untiedt succeeded Dr Schubert (pictured left) as spokesman of the Board of Directors. Dr Untiedt will be responsible for the fields of Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Administration (Finance, HR and IT).

With this move and the appointment of Jörg Frommeyer as Director of Operations (Production, Logistics and Purchasing) as of 1 January 2017, Heller has put a succession plan into place for the company's growth ambitions. The firm said it will continue to put a special emphasis on serving customer requirements to further develop its position as a reliable partner of specialist retailers around the globe. In this context, innovative concepts, including in the field of digital service offers, will play an even greater role, Heller said.

"I am confident that with this succession arrangement, the future of Heller will be handed over to the right hands," said Dr Frank Schubert. "The new organisational structure of the Board of Directors provides ideal preconditions for making good use of new growth opportunities."

Dr Schubert's retirement will mean the loss of an experienced industry expert. Apart from various other international executive positions, he successfully managed Heller Tools GmbH as Director for 19 years, playing a key role in establishing the company's international orientation. With his pronounced marketing and sales focus, he has effectively modelled the way how Heller is perceived and has contributed to the ongoing expansion of the company's market position. Dr. Schubert will remain with Heller until the end of 2017 in order to ensure a smooth transition to Dr Untiedt.

Before joining Heller, Dr Untiedt had worked for Körber AG in Hamburg, Germany, where he was most recently responsible for the organic growth of the technology group's six divisions as Head of Strategic Marketing & Sales. He completed his Master's degree in International Management at the ESCP Europe and obtained his PhD from the Technical University of Freiberg. Previously, he had served as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group for several years.
