Southco has opened a new manufacturing facility in Chon Buri, Thailand.
Spanning over 2,255 square metres, the manufacturing facility will produce captive screws, electronic access latches, ejectors, injection moulding and cleanroom manufacturing for quick-release adapters. The company added that the new manufacturing facility will enhance its ability to serve customers more effectively by reducing lead times, strengthening supply chain resilience and positioning its operations closer to markets.
It added that the investment has underscored its dedication to upholding global quality standards while providing outstanding products and services. The new manufacturing facility will play a pivotal role in delivering products to customers throughout Southeast Asia.
Recently, Southco held an opening event featuring traditional Thai performances and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The opening of the new facility came on the heels of an outstanding year for Southco, marked by record growth and the introduction of new capabilities and facilities worldwide.
Last year, Southco opened a new manufacturing facility in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. The site spans 13,000 square metres and is home to more than 400 skilled professionals. The company said Foshan’s strategic location provides advantages in logistics and supply chain management, enabling Southco to achieve faster turnaround times and deliver enhanced customer service.
