US anchor bolts and nonstandard construction fasteners manufacturer Portland Bolt has acquired Applied Bolting, a Vermont-based manufacturer of industry leading Direct Tension Indicating washers.
The acquisition supports Portland Bolt’s strategy to strengthen its position in the fastener market and drive long-term growth by expanding into complementary product categories—while continuing to offer top-tier service and reliable lead times.
It also aligns with the company’s goals to increase its domestic manufacturing capacity, widen its geographic reach, and deepen global connections in structural and industrial bolting applications. Applied Bolting’s proprietary Squirter® DTI washers, which provide a visible signal of correct bolt tension, are designed to improve accuracy and simplify both installation and inspection.
