Dörken highlights PFAS-Free Coating Solutions at Surface Technology Germany

Dörken will showcase its corrosion protection solutions at Surface Technology Germany, taking place from 5 to 7 May in Stuttgart.

In response to evolving regulatory requirements, the company will present PFAS-free coating systems that meet the stringent demands of the automotive industry, including approvals from Volkswagen and Volvo. DELTA-PROTEKT® TC 502 GZ has been approved under VW TL 245 Ofl-t647, while Volvo has approved several system combinations under VCS 5737.41, including DELTA-PROTEKT® KL 100 or DÖRKEN® BASE 120 combined with DELTA-PROTEKT® TC 502 GZ SILVER, as well as DÖRKEN® BASE 120 with DÖRKEN® TOP 500 BLACK.

Further sampling with leading OEMs, particularly in the automotive and wind sectors, is ongoing, reinforcing Dörken’s position as a pioneer in sustainable coating technologies.

Another highlight is DELTA-PROTEKT® KL 170 RT, a 1K zinc flake base system that cures at room temperature. Used on applications such as wheel hubs and brake discs, it offers significant processing advantages, including greater flexibility, simplified workflows and reduced energy consumption, as no oven curing is required.

At Surface Technology Germany, the focus will be firmly on PFAS-free systems with proven market readiness and OEM approvals.
