Çetin Civata is expanding its presence in key markets, investing in advanced production technologies and quality systems, and offering bespoke and special fasteners to meet complex customer requirements. Sales Manager Selma Bızakçıoğlu explains the company’s strength and future plans to Torque Magazine.

From a sales perspective, what key trends are you seeing in the European automotive or other Industries that are influencing demand for fasteners and engineered components?

Firstly, there is a strong focus on lightweighting and electrification in the automotive industry, which drives demand for high-performance, corrosion-resistant and specialised fasteners that meet stricter technical requirements. Electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid systems require precision-engineered components that differ significantly from traditional internal combustion vehicle applications.

Secondly, sustainability and environmental compliance are increasingly influencing purchasing decisions. Customers are seeking suppliers who not only provide high-quality products but also demonstrate responsible manufacturing practices, energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. This trend is particularly relevant in sectors such as automotive, renewable energy and industrial machinery.

Thirdly, supply-chain reliability and responsiveness remain critical. Companies need dependable suppliers who can ensure consistent product availability, timely delivery and flexibility to respond to fluctuations in production demand. This has been highlighted by recent global supply-chain disruptions and ongoing market volatility.

Finally, the growth of customised and high-value engineered components is driving demand for suppliers capable of producing special fasteners, precision parts and bespoke solutions according to customer specifications and technical drawings.

Beyond automotive, which other Industrial sectors In Europe are showing strong growth or evolving requirements, and how is Çetin Civata adapting its sales strategy to capitalise on those opportunities?

Beyond automotive, key European sectors showing strong growth include machinery and industrial equipment, renewable energy and infrastructure, as well as construction and metal fabrication. These industries increasingly demand high-quality, durable and, in some cases, custom-made fasteners that meet specific technical requirements.

Çetin Civata is adapting its sales strategy to capitalise on these opportunities by offering customised fasteners and special parts, providing technical support and engineering guidance, ensuring reliable supply chains and on-time delivery, and investing in sustainable production and advanced technologies.
