Ambrovit secures AEO status

Ambrovit has obtained the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status in recognition of its logistics chain’s reliability, robustness, safety and professionalism.

According to the European Commission, AEO is based on the Customs-to-Business partnership introduced by the World Customs Organisation. Traders who voluntarily meet a range of criteria work in close cooperation with customs authorities to assure the common objective of supply chain security are entitled to enjoy benefits throughout the EU.

Currently, there are two types of AEO status: Authorised Economic Operator Customs Simplification (AEOC), which allows the holder to benefit from some simplifications under customs legislation, and Authorised Economic Operator Security and Safety (AEOS), for those who also guarantee high safety standards in transport and logistics operations.

Ambrovit obtained the AEOC status, effective 1 March 2025, according to the European Commission website.

The company added that the status reflects its philosophy that “puts quality first and foremost”. All screws, bolts and metal fasteners marketed by Ambrovit are certified to guarantee their performance. For instance, its carpentry screws have been tested and certified under EURONORM EN14592, and were re-evaluated in 2016 based on updated technical parameters in line with the ETA standard.

The company also relies on external laboratories to test the quality of its products, such as the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.
