Draper Tools has generated more than half a million kilowatt-hours of clean energy this year, equating to a reduction of around 100 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
The company received its annual Wrap Report from solar intelligence and installation specialist Absolar, which confirmed that Draper Tools produced 517,373 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy over the past year.
The company’s newly completed warehouse is fitted with more than 900 solar panels, strategically installed around approximately 700 skylights. Absolar managed the project from initial feasibility studies and remote scanning through to installation and commissioning.
The report also highlighted Draper’s strongest performance periods, including its highest-producing week, commencing 7 July, and its peak daily output of 3,635 kWh, recorded on 18 June. In total, the system logged 3,781 operational hours during its first year in service.
“The solar installation at our new, environmentally efficient warehouse represented a significant investment and required meticulous planning and execution from the Absolar team,” said Matt Sheen, CEO of Draper Tools.
“Seeing the system generate more than half a million kWh of clean energy in its first year is remarkable. Avoiding over 100 tonnes of CO₂ demonstrates the tangible impact it is already making.”
Looking ahead, Draper is set to increase its renewable energy output further, having recently commissioned Absolar to deliver an additional solar installation on a second building at its head office site.
