The Anochrome Group’s Anotec has been verified by the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
Anotec gained recognition following a comprehensive audit covering its production and management systems, including environmental practices and operational control.
The company said the certification marks a significant step forward in its engagement with the rail industry and reinforces its position as a trusted supplier to one of the sector’s most demanding markets.
“Achieving RISQS approval is an important milestone for Anotec and for the wider Anochrome Group. It recognises the quality and reliability of our coating systems, as well as the skill and commitment of our people,” said Steve Norman, Anochrome Group UK Divisional Director.
RISQS is the certification authority for the Great British rail industry. It is also a key qualification for suppliers working within the sector, confirming compliance, quality, safety and performance.
To celebrate the achievement, the Anochrome Group will host influential figures from the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN), the Rail Industry Association (RIA) and Network Rail across its four UK operating sites in Walsall and Wolverhampton later this month. Guests will be given a behind-the-scenes look at the group’s technology, expertise and long-term commitment to sustainable innovation.
Products processed by Anochrome have been used in a wide range of rail projects, including the London Underground, where concrete fastenings coated with the thermal diffusion process are widely used.
“This approval opens new opportunities within the rail supply chain, particularly as the sector looks for technologies that reduce environmental impact and extend the service life of critical components,” Norman added.
