Atlas Copco reports decline in revenue, profit and orders in Q3 2025

Atlas Copco Group has published the financial results for Q3 2025, with revenues, operating profit and orders received all declining.

The company’s operating profit decreased by 8% to SEK 8,546 million, down from SEK 9,337 million in Q2. Revenues also dropped to SEK 41,621 million in Q3 from SEK 43,105 million in Q2, representing a 3% decrease. Orders received during Q3 were only 40,517, decreasing from 42,080, or by 4%.

Commenting on the Q3 results, the company said the demand for its products and services was “mixed”.

“Year-on-year, order volumes for industrial compressors remained basically unchanged, while the order intake for gas and process compressors decreased. Order volumes for vacuum equipment decreased somewhat, driven by weaker demand from the semiconductor industry. The demand for industrial assembly equipment and vision solutions weakened, primarily due to lower investment activity among automotive customers,” the company said in a statement.

However, there was “solid order growth” for most types of power equipment, including portable compressors, portable pumps and generators, whereas order volumes for industrial pumps remained essentially unchanged compared to the previous year.

Geographically, the company’s order intake increased in the Americas and Europe. In Asia and Oceania, order intake remained unchanged, but it decreased in Africa and the Middle East.

In the first three quarters of 2025, Atlas Copco Group’s operating profit dropped to SEK 25,644 million, down from SEK 28,148 million, or by 9% year-on-year. Revenues decreased to SEK 125,561 million in the first three quarters of 2025, representing a 4% decrease.

#Orders received dropped by 3% to 127,208 in the first three quarters of 2025.

Looking ahead, the company said customer activity will remain at the current level in the near-term outlook.
