Live streaming and virtual reality from Hire Association at this week's Executive Hire Show

The Executive Hire Show 2017 gets underway at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow (8 Feb), aimed at the tools, equipment and plant hire industry.

Hire Association Europe (HAE) are among the exhibitors who will use technology to reach an even bigger audience to promote its services. For those not heading to Ricoh, they can catch up with HAE's presentations on membership and SafeHire Certification via 'live' streaming through Facebook Live, from 10:00am on Thursday 9 Feb, HAE

In addition to SafeHire Certification, the HAE team will focus on demonstrating two training courses that utilise brand new, state of the art, virtual reality software at the show.

The two Health & Safety training programmes, developed in conjunction with the University of West England (UWE), cover areas such as Working at Height and the use of cut-off saws. Visitors to the stand will be able to try out the technology and experience the benefits of the newly devised training programmes first-hand. This includes the unveiling of new updates to the Working at Height module that incorporate hearing and pointing hints, along with footsteps to assist the user with the direction of travel.

In addition, the HAE team is a looking for hire companies and manufacturers interested in sponsoring its training programmes. Richard Whiting, HAE commercial manager, said: “The Executive Hire Show is always a great place for us to meet with existing and potential members and this year’s exhibition is an excellent opportunity to highlight the development of our VR training packages and raise awareness throughout the hire sector.”

Any visitors to the Executive Hire Show who are interested in becoming a member of HAE or SafeHire Certificated can attend any of the two, free to attend, seminars HAE is delivering in the Jaguar Lounge on Thursday 9th February at 10:00 am and 11:30 am respectively. The SafeHire Information Zone will provide all visitors to the Executive Hire Show with information and advice on how to achieve certification, improve Health & Safety procedures and customer service standards as well exploring the benefits through real Hire Industry case studies.

Ann Harrison, marketing manager, for HAE commented: “HAE has been successfully exhibiting at the Executive Hire Show for the last 10 years and this year we’re using the opportunity to heavily promote our 2017 initiatives. Both Virtual Reality training and SafeHire Certification are key focuses and having a platform like the Executive Hire Show to springboard our plans is a great way to start the year.”
