India's Hand Tools & Fastener Expo runs this week

Now in its 15th year, India's Hand Tools & Fastener Expo runs this week.

The show runs until Friday, taking place at the Pragati Maidan exhibition centre in New Delhi - reportedly the largest exhibition centre in India.

The trade-only show covers hand tools, power tools, industrial tools, fasteners and allied products for industry. Sectors covered include aviation/aerospace, automotive, heavy engineering, construction/infrastructure, woodworking/furniture and gardening/horticulture.

The show will feature country pavilions for China and Taiwan and the organisers expect over 4,000 visitors to attend.

INDUSTRY INSIGHT
The Indian hand tool and allied product market is moving away from the price-sensitive end to a quality-conscious user, according to the show organisers, due in part to the growth of the sectors listed above, such as aviation and heavy engineering, and the growing need for quality and specialist tools. Personnel in the manufacturing, operations maintenance, repair and overhaul sectors are now seeking quality, high-end hand tools, power tools, speciality tools, fasteners and allied products.

The show is endorsed by the Fastener Manufacturers Association of India and the Ludhiana Hand Tools Association.
