HUSUM's 30th anniversary show comes during pivotal time for wind energy

HUSUM Wind celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2019, and comes during a pivotal time for the industry.

The EEG subsidies for the first wind turbines are coming to an end. The show will cover post-EEG solutions, such as continued use, repowering or dismantling and recycling of wind turbines. Leading suppliers from the sector will be presenting their innovative concepts and services for the phase after 2020.

Arne Petersen, MD of Messe Husum & Congress GmbH, said: “We will still be providing a platform for such subjects as Power-to-X, energy storage, digitalisation and big data. In the model region, today it is already possible to see the potential of the tomorrow’s wind power. In Husum the buses will soon be running on regionally generated hydrogen while research continues into additional alternative utilisation concepts. Here in Husum we think about the future of wind.”

HUSUM Wind will run 10-13 September 2019.About 90% of exhibition space is sold out. The show aims to welcome OEMs and market leaders from Germany and neighbouring EU countries. The exhibition programme will once again include the forum for young, innovative enterprises and the Windcareer job fair for skilled personnel and industry entrants. According to the show organisers, the industry is expecting an improved market situation in 2020.

Visitors and exhibitors to the 2017 edition of HUSUM had to contend with Cyclone Sebastian.
