Cologne Hardware Fair: Full exhibition halls, digitisation and start-up hall

Eisenwarenmesse - International Hardware Fair Cologne is virtually fully booked, according to the show organiser.

Around 2,700 exhibitors from over 50 countries will appear at the show, which runs 4-7 March 2018, with over 80% of exhibitors coming from overseas.

The event is rounded off by networking events and a diversified event programme. An important theme here is the digitalisation, which will face the hardware industry with big challenges. EISENWARENMESSE - International Hardware Fair Cologne is dedicating the dSummit, a two-day format, to the theme.

"The event is virtually fully-booked, with all famous manufacturers are represented," said Katharina C Hamma, COO Koelnmesse GmbH. "The booking level of EISENWARENMESSE - International Hardware Fair Cologne 2018 has increased by 5 percent again compared to the same period of the last event. This underlines the significance of the trade fair for the entire international hardware industry once more."

Tools will form the core of the show, with around 1,650 exhibitors including Gedore, Hazet, Stahlwille and Wera. On the fastener, fitting and fixings side exhibitors include Schäfer + Peters and Prebena.

Digitisation

The industry and the trade are facing the challenges of digitisation - from smart torque wrenches to smart homes - and the International Hardware Show will offer 'dSummit' with expert talks and lectures on the topic.

Furthermore, a new Start-up village will be featured in association with fediyma, the European Manufacturers Association.
