Black & Decker issues US recall for hammer drills

Black & Decker, Bostitch and Porter-Cable Hammer Drills and Drill Drivers have been issued with a recall notice in the US.

According to the United States' Consumer Product Safety Commission, the side handle sold with the drill can slip or break, leading to a loss of control of the tool and posing an injury hazard.

Around 641,000 units are affected in the US, with a further 18,000 sold in Canada. They were sold through Home Depot, Amazon.com and other online retailers between January 2010 and July 2018.
