Hilti reveals 40 new tools, including cordless metal working tools

Construction-focused Hilti has drastically expanded its range with 40 new tools, systems and accessories, including its first cordless metal working tools.

Hilti said it is aiming to "grow its leadership stake" in fastening and firestop system solutions, with what it described as the market's most powerful cordless cutting tools.

That new line-up includes a battery-powered cordless fastening tools (BX 3-BT) for high quality installations as well as what the firm said is the first preformed firestop solution designed specifically for metal deck construction (Top Track Seal CFS-TTS MD).

The news landed soon after the construction brand revealed a fourth consecutive year of growth.

The X-BT is dedicated to fastening on steel, X-BT threaded studs. The new BX 3 BT is designed for industrial, electrical and mechanical applications like hanging strut, attaching bar grating or grounding a cable lug.

An expanded electric fastener portfolio has been designed for everyday applications in electrical and telecommunications. Elements are available for both Hilti's power-actuated tools (DX) and battery (BX) platform.

Metal cutting solutions include two powerful tools in double-cut cordless shears (SSH 6-A22) and metal nibbler (SPN 6-A22). Three new cordless metal working tools including the cordless belt sander (GTB 6X-A22), cordless burnisher GPB 6X-A22) and cordless band file (GFB 6X-A22).

Onto Hilti's 12V cordless tools, which promise a longer lifetime and more runtime; the 12V cordless impact driver (SID 2-A12), cordless screwdriver (SFD 2-A112) and cordless hammer drill driver (SF 2H-A12).

Other highlights include hydraulic wire cutters, a recriprocating saw, cordless jig saw and an expanded selection of diamond core bits.

The launches follow up its cordless breaker (the TE 500-A36) revealed in December.
