German rail technology specialist Vossloh has secured a contract for a new high-speed rail line in China.
The company’s subsidiary, Vossloh Fastening Systems China, will deliver fastening systems for the new line connecting Xining, in north-western China, with Chengdu, in south-western China, by 2027. It added that the total value of the contract is under €20 million.
“We are proud to be part of China’s ongoing success story in the rail sector and to contribute substantially, as a reliable partner, to the expansion of sustainable mobility,” said Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG.
The company noted that it has been operating in China for almost 20 years, particularly supporting the expansion of the country’s high-speed rail network. Previously, its Chinese subsidiary was awarded a contract to supply rail fastening systems for a high-speed line between the cities of Yulin and Cenxi.
