Nord-Lock Group has entered the Brazilian market, opening an office in Joinville in the Santa Catarina region.
The expansion aimed to create a strong presence in Brazil but also access to other markets. It opened the office in April and subsequently established operations across the country in the previous months. Nord-Lock Group added that Joinville is one of Brazil’s main commercial and industrial centres and is close to an airport and seaport, which enable it to coordinate with distributors and partners.
“This new office brings us closer to our customers and allows us to provide faster, better service with local inventory, logistics and support,” said Gediael Bernardes, Regional Sales Manager for Latin America at Nord-Lock Group.
Nord-Lock Group also established a legal entity in the country, enabling direct purchasing of its bolting solutions locally. The move simplified the buying process and eliminated several hurdles to importing Nord-Lock Group’s global brands, including Nord-Lock®, Superbolt®, Boltight® and Expander®, in Brazil.
Therefore, it successfully reduced lead time, making the products more accessible.
Aside from establishing the new offices, Nord-Lock Group also took part in EXPOMAFE. This Brazilian industrial exhibition is considered a key event for Latin America’s metalworking sector, as well as a major showcase for the latest technology and trends in machine tools and industrial automation.

Recently, Nord-Lock Group acquired UK-based specialty bolting company Energy Bolting, which specialises in premium specialty bolting, specifically developing customised critical fasteners for demanding applications in industries with challenging operating conditions.
Through this acquisition, Nord-Lock Group not only expanded its product offerings in critical bolted joint solutions but also strengthened its position in key industries such as oil and gas, power generation and defence.
