HAZET wins Red Dot Design Award for bit torque screwdrivers

German tool manufacturer HAZET has won the Red Dot Design Award for its new SYSTEM 6004CT (pictured left) /6005CT (pictured right) bit torque screwdrivers.

According to HAZET, its SYSTEM 6004CT/6005CT bit torque screwdrivers scored points in the Product Design category, as they boast pioneering high functionality and accuracy with a torque range of 0.02 Nm to 10 Nm. Other features of the products include high-precision triggering accuracy of just ±6 % for these small torque ranges and optimal ergonomics, which played a key role in the award-winning design.

The products also enable precise screw connections, preventing uneven screw tightness from leading to material fatigue and overload.

Moreover, the reversible ratchet function, combined with a free-running mechanism, allows for smooth operation even in confined spaces and facilitates efficient follow-up work in any position. An easy-to-read digital display facilitates precise torque setting. At the same time, ergonomics and functionality have been specifically tailored to professional requirements.

The Red Dot Design Award comprises three competitions: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept.

In a statement, the jury described the products as having “good readability, a well-thought-out mechanical solution and ergonomics”, adding that they are reliable and precise tools.
