Grafton Group has appointed Mario Ballarín as CEO for Iberia.
In his new role, Ballarín will focus on expanding the company's presence in the region through acquisitions and will work closely with the management team at HVAC specialist distributor Salvador Escoda, which Grafton Group acquired in 2024.
“Mario’s appointment is a key step in our strategy to strengthen growth across Iberia,” said Eric Born, CEO of Grafton Group. “He brings extensive experience in acquisitions and business integration to drive growth, and we are confident he will be a valuable asset to the Group.”
A Spanish national based in Barcelona, Ballarín most recently served at Bunzl plc as Managing Director for South and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Nordics, having previously held the role of General Manager for Latin America. Prior to joining Bunzl, he worked in Transaction Services at KPMG.
