French DIY store association FMB names new President

The French DIY store association FMB (Fédération des Magasins de Bricolage) has appointed Paul Cassignol as the new President.

Cassignol succeeded Mathieu Pivain, Director of Asset Management at Kingfisher, who led the association for six years. With 30 years of experience in the sector and former President of Mr.Bricolage, he brings a vision that is both strategic and field-based.

FMB represents and protects the interests of the DIY sector with public authorities, semi-public bodies and associative organisations, both in France and across Europe. The FMB brings together all the major DIY retail chains. Currently, the federation represents 80,000 employees, €24 billion in turnover and 2,000 points of sale across France.
