Fastener Fair Global breaks space record, sets dates for March 2025

The 9th Fastener Fair Global, which ran last week after a four year gap enforced by Covid lockdowns, filled up a record amount of exhibition space, a net area of over 23,230 sq m – a 1,000 sq m increase on 2019.

Over three days at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition centre, the trade show welcomed almost 11,000 trade visitors from 83 countries. That was a creditable showing for this first post-Covid iteration of the show, which attracted 12,070 visitors in 2019 and 11,709 in 2017.

Around 1,000 exhibitors filled up halls 1, 3, 5 and 7 of the venue, making the 2023 edition of the show its biggest to date. 2023 was also the first time the show took place under its new name of Fastener Fair Global, formerly known as Fastener Fair Stuttgart.

The next edition of the show will run 25-27 March 2025 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds.

“After four long and challenging years since the last edition took place in 2019, Fastener Fair Global opened the doors to its 9th edition, reasserting its position in the industry as the go-to event for the manufacturing and industrial sector,” said Stephanie Cerri, Fastener Fair Global Event Manager at the organiser RX.

“Both the show size and strong participation in Fastener Fair Global 2023 testify to the importance of the event as a milestone for the fastener and fixing sector internationally and serves as an economic indicator of the growth of this industry. We are delighted to have received positive feedback from the international fastener and fixing community gathered at the show to discover the latest technological advancements within the sector whilst taking advantage of plenty of networking opportunities.”

The show organiser said initial exhibitor feedback showed participating companies were highly satisfied with the outcome of the show, praising the quality of the trade visitors.

According to preliminary results of the visitor survey, around 72% of all visitors came from abroad. Germany was the biggest visitor country followed by Italy and the United Kingdom. Other major European visitor countries were Poland, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, the Czech Republic, Austria and Belgium. Asian visitors mainly came from Taiwan and China.

The bulk of the visitors were fastener and fixing wholesalers, manufacturers as well as distributors and suppliers. Key industry visitors came from the metal products, the automotive industry, distribution, the construction industry, mechanical engineering, hardware / DIY retailing and electronic/ electrical goods sectors.

Three exhibiting companies were crowned Fastener Technology Innovators by hosts F+F. In 1st place, the winner was Scell-it Group with its patented E-007 power tool designed to install hollow wall anchors. Growermetal SpA was awarded with the 2nd place for its Grower SperaTech®, which was based on the combination of a spherical top washer and a conical seat washer.
