Home improvement market specialist and strategic development agency Daley Hub has appointed Nils Kernchen as an associate.
In his new role, Kernchen will focus on helping Daley Hub’s clients develop marketplace strategies, as well as supporting them with technical implementation and onboarding on a territory-by-territory basis.
“The DIY and home improvement sector still lags behind other consumer-facing industries in realising the full potential of marketplaces,” said Kernchen. “By joining Daley Hub, I can help assess opportunities and develop tailored strategies for different territories, while supporting clients to sell on DIY and general platforms, including those that are typically considered ‘closed’. We can also assist with technical setup, onboarding and the monitoring of existing activity.”
Kernchen brings nine years of marketplace experience, having worked with German and British platform developers for DIY and garden marketplace ManoMano during its formative years, before going on to develop a digital platform for boating products.
He later returned to the home improvement sector, joining Amsterdam-based marketplace agency ChannelMojo.
“We’re big believers in marketplaces, but each operates differently, and achieving success isn’t always straightforward,” said Clive Daley, Founder of Daley Hub. “With Nils joining the team, we can do even more to make this route to market a winning one for home and DIY brands.”
