BHETA has announced a restructuring of its senior management team, introducing a new General Manager role and appointing an Exhibition Director for the Exclusively Show.
Current Marketing Director Stephen Richardson has been promoted to General Manager. In his new role, he will oversee the delivery of BHETA’s strategy across all market sectors, manage day-to-day operations supporting member activity, and drive both existing and new initiatives in the home and garden marketplace. Working closely with BHETA’s Sector Managers and in-house team, Richardson will also focus on strengthening member engagement and representation across all areas the association represents.
“I am delighted to announce this new structure, which will enable us to continue meeting the needs of today’s rapidly changing market. It provides the focus and support required to deliver full member engagement,” said Andrew Weiss, Executive Chair of BHETA. “I am also confident that under Stephen’s leadership we will maintain our emphasis on creating added value for all our stakeholders.”
Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer Will Jones will step back from the day-to-day running of the association in January 2026, as he transitions to the role of Exhibition Director for the Exclusively Show. In this capacity, Jones will be responsible for maintaining the show’s market-leading position, expanding its content and initiatives, and working closely with the dedicated management team across sales, marketing, finance and operations, as well as liaising with the venue’s senior team.
Reflecting on the change, Jones said: “It feels like the right time to hand over the BHETA reins. It has been a wonderful journey, made all the more enjoyable thanks to the support of the BHETA Board, the steering committees, and the engagement of members and the wider industry.”
Both Richardson and Jones will report directly to Weiss.
