Carhartt has launched its women’s Steel Pants, combining durability with flexibility for tradeswomen working in demanding environments.
The trousers are made from stretch ripstop fabric designed to resist tears and abrasions while still allowing freedom of movement for climbing, crouching, bending and stretching. High-wear areas are reinforced with Cordura™, helping the trousers withstand tough site conditions without adding excessive weight or restricting movement.
A Flex Cordura™ gusseted crotch increases mobility, while the Comfortflex waistband is designed to provide a secure yet adaptable fit throughout the working day. The overall design aims to improve comfort by allowing the trousers to move naturally with the wearer.
The Steel Pants also include a range of practical storage features, including reinforced front ledge pockets, a ruler pocket, utility band and a zippered hanging bag pocket for tools and accessories. Kick panels allow for alterations, while the Flex Cordura™ kneepad pockets feature cleanout openings and are compatible with Carhartt Interoperable Kneepads 107552. The kneepad pockets are designed to meet EN 14404-4:2024 dimensions and provide lightweight Level 1 knee protection.
Carhartt also launched the men’s Steel Pants range last year, with the company now extending the range to women’s workwear.
