The Fastener Training Institute (FTI) has announced its 2026 Fastener Training Weeks for February, May and August/September. All sessions will be teamed with fastener events or industry partners.
“We put together an exciting Fastener Training Week schedule for 2026,” said Jo Morris, Managing Director for FTI. “We start earlier in the year and are also combining the weeks with Industrial Fasteners Institute, Fastener Fair USA and Mid-West Fastener Association.”
The first training week is 9-13 February in Cleveland, Ohio at the Industrial Fasteners Institute. The next is 4-8 May in Charlotte, North Carolina, in conjunction with Fastener Fair USA. The final week-long training for 2026 is 31 August - 4 September in Chicago, Illinois, part of Mid-West Fastener Association’s FSTNR Week.
This flagship training programme offers fastener professionals the opportunity to learn through case studies, hands-on demonstrations, learning labs, general classroom instruction - and study through behind the scenes tours of manufacturing and quality lab processes. The extensive curriculum is facilitated by industry experts and leads to Certified Fastener Specialist designation after completion and passing a final exam.
“Fastener Training Week was the best corporate training dollars I have had the opportunity to spend," said Chad M. Pawlenty, CFS, Director of Sourcing and Business Intelligence, Aero-Space Fasteners. "We will continue evaluating talent to send. It was tremendously helpful to apply this information to what I do.”
The curriculum includes hands-on demonstrations with gages and calipers, plus lessons on quality assurance systems, sampling plans, fastener failures, print reading, thread technology, standards and much more. Registration is now open at www.fastenertraining.org. Email Jo Morris with questions.
