Kingfisher has appointed Debarati Sen as Chief Commercial Officer.
Sen will join the company in December 2025 and will be based at Kingfisher’s head office in Paddington, London. She will also be a member of Kingfisher’s Group Executive.
Sen joined from HMTX Industries, a US global flooring manufacturer, where she was the Chief Executive Officer, having previously spent over 26 years at 3M Co. During her time at 3M, she most recently held the role of President, Home Improvement, Consumer Safety & Well-being. Before this role, she was President of the Construction & Home Improvement Markets Division.
“I am delighted to be joining Kingfisher. With its strong growth opportunities and clear customer propositions in each market, Kingfisher is at the forefront of home improvement, providing retail and trade customers with affordable, quality products and best-in-class customer service,” said Sen.
Thierry Garnier, Kingfisher's CEO, added: “I am very pleased to welcome her to Kingfisher. She brings extensive executive experience in large multinational environments and multiple markets, and is recognised for delivering commercial strategy anchored in product, marketing, business transformation and cross-cultural leadership in the home improvement sector.”
Aside from Sen’s appointment, Henri Solère, Kingfisher’s Chief Offer and Sourcing Officer, will step down from his role in January 2026. During his 12 years at Kingfisher, Henri has held several senior positions, including Commercial Director at Castorama and Group Category Director, before assuming his current role in 2018. In this position, he led the development and success of Kingfisher’s Own Exclusive Brands (OEB) strategy, which has become a critical asset for the group.
“I would like to thank Henri for his huge contribution to Kingfisher over the last 12 years. Examples of the strength of his leadership have been widespread across the Group, including his pioneering of our Kitchen, Bathroom and Storage categories, and the development of our Own Exclusive Brands,” said Garnier.
