Rivit launches hydro-pneumatic hexcutter tools for hexagonal holes

Rivit has introduced the RIV990 (pictured right) and RIV991(pictured left) hydro-pneumatic hexcutter tools, designed to create hexagonal holes for rivet nuts with precision.

Both tools feature a notching system, which uses a specially positioned punch on the head to shape the metal accurately. This allows a hexagonal rivet nut to be inserted into a round hole, an important capability when working with bent or boxed sheet metal profiles where a properly formed seat is essential for mechanical stability.

The RIV990 is suitable for Rivsert rivet nuts from M4 to M10, while the RIV991 accommodates slightly larger sizes from M5 to M12. The tools are supplied without punches and dies, which need to be selected separately according to the type of rivet nut being used.

These hexcutter tools are intended for tasks requiring precision and reliability, providing users with equipment capable of producing consistent results in challenging sheet metal applications.

Recently, Rivit published a new documentation to help customers choose the right fastener in a simple, fast and professional way, including several clear and intuitive tools for quick and effective consultation.
