Tools, accessories and building supplies retailer Toolstation has appointed Lakhvir Sanghera as Managing Director for the UK and Benelux.
Currently Finance, Property & Distribution Director of the company, Sanghera will assume office in September. She will replace Angela Rushforth, who is set to retire after spending ten years across multiple positions within Travis Perkins.
Over the next few weeks, Sanghera will work with Rushforth to ensure a smooth handover.
“I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved at Toolstation in the last three years, growing the business profitably, transforming our trade and loyalty customer proposition, and expanding to over 591 stores,” said Sanghera on LinkedIn.
“Thank you to every colleague, customer and supplier who has been part of this journey. It’s been a privilege to have worked with every one of you, and I look forward to continuing to work with you in the next phase of growth,” she added.
Rushforth said on LinkedIn that she plans to take on a few more non-executive director roles to share the benefit of her experience.
“I’ve absolutely loved my time at Toolstation and it has felt very fitting to end my career in a business truly focused upon the customer and our colleagues, where we have achieved so much over the last three years,” she said.
